Family, Service, & Dedication
Tim Paterson has always valued honesty, earnestness, and hard work. He spent 33 years of his life in the Army National Guard and Army Reserves, was deployed twice overseas, served as a Blackhawk Pilot, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Now, he spends his days with Joan, his beloved wife of 32 years, and his three wonderful children.
Tim graduated in 1984 from West De Pere High School and later went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business from Excelsior College in 2001.
Tim served the United States when he was deployed overseas to Kuwait from February-September 2002 and for the initial invasion of Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom from February-September 2003. He served almost thirty years with the Wisconsin National Guard from March 1989-December 2017 as a Helicopter Mechanic, Chemical Warfare Officer, Program Manager, Project Officer, Airspace management Officer, and Training Officer. He then continued his service with the US Army Reserves from January 2018-March 2022 as an Operations Officer, Plans Officer, and Airspace Management Officer. Tim is a proud Lifelong Member of the National Guard Association at State & Federal Levels.
When he wasn’t on active-duty orders, Tim worked for Alta Resources from December 1999-September 2021 in Variety of Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service Positions, and Team Trainer. He also supported his daughters’ elementary and middle school athletic careers by coaching the Valley Christian School-Oshkosh Middle School Girls’ Basketball Team. Tim also helped to found the Valley Christian School-Oshkosh High School 8-Man Football team, volunteering his time as coach for the team’s first three years. Tim finally kicked off his military retirement by managing ZaRoni’s Pizza from November 2012-February2024!
